Birch Bay
Birch Bay, Washington is located about 20 miles north of Bellingham, Washington and about 100 miles north of Seattle just off I-5. With the Resort at Semiahmoo just 3 miles from central Birch Bay and the warmest waters north of California, Birch Bay is a destination worth a visit.
During the summer, Birch Bay gets quite busy as visitors come from across the United States, and Canada. We have some of the best Golfing with two World Class Golf Courses located within 3 miles of Birch Bay and many smaller (not to mention less expensive) golf courses located in and around Birch Bay.
Bellingham, our most recognized neighbor to the south has received many mentions of being one of the top 10 cities to live in around the U.S.
Birch Bay residents will agree that Bellingham is great, but if you want to relax and enjoy life, Birch Bay and Semiahmoo are the place to go.

GOLF:
Sea Links Golf Course (former Birch Bay Golf Club) is a public 18-hole executive course located in Birch Bay with scenic views of the Gulf Islands and the Cascades. This golf course reopened in July of 2007.
Sea Links Golf Course
Two of Washington's top public golf courses are located in the Birch Bay area:
Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club and Loomis Trail Golf Club are both award winning 18-hole courses run by Semiahmoo Resort.
Two other golf courses are located in the nearby community of Custer. Dakota Creek Golf & Country Club and Grandview Golf Course both have 18-hole courses.
WATER SLIDES:
SPIN, SPIRAL, SPLASHING FUN! Birch Bay Waterslides provide great water activities from slides to spiraling tubes.

MINIATURE WORLD:
MINI GOLF, GO-CARTS TRAIN RIDES -
Do you prefer less formal and children oriented activity? Miniature World Family Fun Center offers
18 holes of miniature golf for the whole family. Families can race around the Go-Kart Racing track with single, double or kids karts (height restrictions apply). All ages can enjoy the miniature train ride through the forest. During Christmas time, Miniature World features the popular Santa Train that runs through a winter wonderland with over a million lights and ends with a visit to Santa.
HISTORIC PLOVER FERRY:
Kids and adults will enjoy a ride on the historic MV Plover, the oldest foot passenger ferry in Washington State. This ferry was originally used to shuttle cannery workers from Blaine to the Alaskan Packers Salmon Cannery on Semiahmoo Spit. It now carries up to 17 passengers on a scenic tour between Blaine Harbor and Semiahmoo Resort on weekends during the summer. The east bound directions takes an extended route to view Drayton Harbor, Mount Baker and the local wildlife. Fares by donation. HORSEBACK RIDING:

CASINOS:
The Silver Reef Casino offers video slots and table games, dining, entertainment, hotel and a spa. The casino is located off I-5 exit 260 in Ferndale.
The Nooksack Northwood Casino is located about 15 miles east of Birch Bay just outside of Lynden. This casino opened in November of 2007 and offers slots, food and a lounge. www.northwood-casino.com/
